When Isaac came in to the picture, he was aware that something was not right, that his family situation (and all he knew at that age) was one of discord. She also took very strongly to her Christian faith as a means to cope with what happened. His mom was deeply affected by both events, to the point where she was prescribed antidepressants/other psychiatric medications. His father kind of went off the rails, descended in gambling etc and became absent from Isaac's home life. I suspect that things between Isaac's mom and dad started to fall apart (I wanna say blew up.) when 'Bobby' died/was miscarried. Read some other theories, and, correct me if I'm wrong but, I believe Isaac's mom isn't as bad as Isaac makes her out to be in his drawings and in the game. Isaac wakes up in purgatory in Ending 17 and then it is revealed at the end of Final Ending that Isaac got out of the chest he woke up in and walked around the dull landscape of purgatory. I'm thinking that possibly that Final Ending comes after Ending 17. I'm guessing 'person walking away' means in Final Ending at the end where you see a figure that looks an awful lot like Isaac in my opinion walking outward from the screen in the same dull-colored ghastly landscape from Ending 17. I think Isaac's mom is the one that finds him in his toy chest, long after he died of suffocation. I believe you're mixing up Ending 17 + Final/20.
